Nice, attractive, inexpensive jewelry for Valentine's gift Mar 10, 2010
Purchased this item along with matching earrings. Read other reviews and they're right... color is more red-brown like that of true red garnets than the blood red shown but I was expecting that so ok. Quality is very nice for an inexpensive piece & my Valentine liked them just fine. Did get a bit of a scare when told they would not be shipped to my residence until 4 days after Valentine's but then they arrived on the 13th so perhaps I just got lucky. All in all I'm very pleased with this purchase & would reccomend to others, just be aware color will be more brown than in the picture.

I really love this necklace, but it's much darker than the stock photo. I wouldn't say mine was cola or brown colored, but kinda purplish and really dark - you can't see the back detail through the gem.

The pendant and chain are just beautiful.. However, the glass, even when held up to the light, is a muddy cola color, not at all red. I found that a bit disappointing.

This pendant was absolutely stunning. It was even more beautiful than the picture. I absolutely love it and have received so many compliments when I have worn it.

Heart necklace with matching earrings Feb 19, 2010
I was somewhat skeptical of ordering this after reading the reviews, but had received the earrings as a Christmas gift & wanted the matching necklace. It's obviously a piece of costume jewelry, but serves my purpose of matching the earrings. The chain is pretty & very delicate. It goes with brown reds very nicely. The "garnet" is a little misleading. I think this is referring to color, because it's obviously not a garnet stone. I don't think of it as garnet in color.
